What is your dream for a perfect Christmas? Does it include peaceful family gatherings, perfectly prepared food, an amazingly decorated home, white snow on the ground, and Santa’s gifts? It’s interesting what we deem to be important and how often we are not satisfied if the reality doesn’t meet our expectations. As we near the season of Advent, take a few moments and make a wish list for your perfect Christmas, ranking each item in importance. Then, ask God to help you re-align your emphasis, where needed, to focus on Jesus. May God bless your preparation time and fill you with joy as you reflect on the perfect gift of the Christ child.
